Accra Hearts of Oak have changed their home venue for the Ghana Premier league following renovation works communicated by the National Sports Authority.

In their last game against Elmina Sharks, Coach Samuel Boadu was rushed to the hospital due to ill health and has since been discharged to continue with his duties.

With this information reaching the Accra Hearts of Oak secretariat, they brought the media to speed with the real issue on ground.

The contents below are from a release dated 16th December 2021 by Accra Hearts of Oak,

“The management of the club wish to notify the general sporting public especially Phobians that due to the unavailability of our home grounds, Accra Sports Stadium for the match-day-9 encounter with Accra Lions, we will honour the game at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday, 19th December 2021.

We entreat all Phobians to take good note of the changes and let your support count by filling the stands on Sunday to throw your support behind the team to go for victory.

Meanwhile, we express our profound gratitude to our numerous supporters for the concern and love shown to coach Samuel Boadu when he was taken ill during our game against Sharks. We are assuring everyone that coach Samuel Boadu has since been discharged from the hospital and is responding positively to treatment.”

This is good news to the Phobians as it is rumoured that the Hearts of Oak gaffer will be present in the dugouts during their crunch encounter against Accra Lions.
