Mr. George Lamptey now the ousted Ghana Boxing Federation president has been voted out of office in their elections held today.
Mr. Lamptey whose exploits and success with the federation saw him win the ‘Administrator of the year’ at the just ended MTN SWAG AWARDS has lost the office that hailed him to victory.
Under his leadership, the Ghana amateur boxing team won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and promised Ghana and the federation more medals at the Birmingham Commonwealth games 2022.
Mr. George Lamptey entered into the GBF presidential election with Mr. Bernard Quartey
After the elections, Mr. George Lamptey (President) of the Ghana Boxing Federation pulled 45 votes against 59 votes for Mr. Bernard Quartey (GBF President elect)
