Just when everyone thought his footballing career was over, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu pulls another surprise. After announcing his retirement from national football, Agyemang-Badu reiterated he was ready to focus on his career and future and his future has lead to China where he will be plying his football in the coming season.

Former Black Stars midfielder – Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has completed his transfer to Chinese Super League side Qingdao Huanghai Football Club.

The 31-year-old midfielder who became a cult hero in Udinese due to his sterling performances in his ten year stay at the Italian club will spend the next six months with his newfound club.

The U-20 World Cup winner [Badu] is likely to play his first game for Qingdao FC tomorrow when they face Shanghai Shenhua.

Badu earned 78 caps for the Ghana national team and was part of the Black Stars squad that represented the nation at the South Africa 2010 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
