Ghanaian center forward Jordan Ayew after a long wait finds the back of the net for Crystal Palace to silence his critics. Jordan who hadn’t recorded any goal since the start of the EPL season after a splendid performance against Southampton close his goal drought account after scoring in their 2-all affair.
With many wondering why French manager Patrick Vierra still fields the Ghanaian internatios, Jordan has broken the yoke and reiterated that the manager has faith in his since joining the club.
In his statement, Jordan noted, “Since the first day the manager came in he told me he has big faith in me and believe in me and i should keep on working hard and it will come. It may take long but at some point it will pay off and today against Southampton it paid off. We’re all glad. Today there were negatives and positives but it think it was a good result.” said Jordan
With his goal securing a vital point for the team, Jordan whose joy could not be hidden added,
“Sometimes in football, I’ve been really, really unlucky and think today luck was on my side. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t work. It is just football. I control what I can control and the things I can’t control I don’t focus on it. I just focus on what I can control. Today it went my way.
I hope I continue to score, I hope so.”
