Leicester City could not hold on to their lead against Liverpool Fc at Anfield after going 3-1 up before the end of the first half.
Jamie Vardy in the 9th minute of the EFL Cup quarter final against Liverpool Fc opened the scoring for Leicester City and added a second for the visitors in the 13th minute.

With a keep contest between the two teams, James Maddison added a third for Leicester City and it seemed to will be enough to see the foxes steal the win at Anfield but Klopp and his men had a different plan for the second half.
Liverpool came into the second half more determined and direct, ready to commit men forward for results. Leicester City were able to hold their lines until the 68th minute when Diogo Jota breached the defense of Leicester City to reduce their deficit to one goal.
It was up to Leicester City to defend their slim margin or to add another but they fell short after losing their steam in the early minutes of the game.
Takumi Minamino in the 90+5 minutes of the game broke Leicester City hearts after snatching an equalizer for Liverpool Fc.
The game rolled out to penalty shootouts where any team stood the chance to qualify to the next stage.
Luke Thomas missed his penalty kick as did Takumi Minamino whose goal lead Liverpool into the penalty shootouts.
Diogo Jota did not miss the spot as he gave Liverpool the lead putting all the pressure on Ryan Bertrand who could not keep his cool and smashed the ball away from goal.
Liverpool Fc after a hard fought game have qualified for the semifinals of the EFL Cup.
