The Ghana Boxing Authority lead by Mr. Abraham Kotei Neequaye has indefinitly suspended former World Lightweight Champion Richard Commey after reviewing an interview he granted that went viral.
Richard Commey who bashed the GBA for giving no assistance to professional boxer but want to benefit from the fights has been suspended with all formal courtesies from the GBA withdrawn.
A letter from the Ghana Boxing Authority dates 17th January 2022 outlined the reasons why the former champion has been suspended.
Richard Commey was released from a ban prior to his fight against Lomachenko and has been banned again after he mentioned he is never giving the GBA a pesewa from his fight.
This has caused many to ask if they only removed his previous ban because he was going into a fight with a big purse or they revoked his previous ban because they saw it fit to.
