Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former Ghana Football Association’s President and Vice President of the Confederation of African Football CAF who doubles as a Lawyer by profession after been ousted following an expulsion from all footballing activities by FIFA has spoken for the first time in a long while.
The African Cup of Nations which takes off on Sunday has gotten many people adding their view and nothing stopped the sports enthusiast from airing his view too.
Mr. Nyantakyi who has been in football administration roll long enough to know how some events can turn around has urged Ghanaians to support the Ghana Black Stars during the AFCON tourney and it will surprise them how much the team will turn up.
“The European teams have depended on our workaholic African players to build and their refusal to let players go and participate in the AFCON is proof of that. Ghana has a very good team, all that it left is for Ghanaians to rally behind them and you will be surprised the outcome.” said Mr. Nyantakyi.
With many quizzing whether he wasn’t breaching any arrangement of FIFA by speaking on football matters, curious Ghanaians were reminded that the former CAF Vice and GFA President is a learned Lawyer who wouldn’t go contrary to what he believes is wrong.
