Accra Hearts of Oak after printing close to 10,000 match tickets for the Super Clash against Kumasi Asante Kotoko received news they could admit to full capacity and in the space of 48hrs has to print additional 30,000 tickets.
This made room for some unscrupulous persons to get access to print and sell their own tickets on the match day but thanks to the swift intervention of the management and Ghana Police Service the perpetrators have been arrested.
In a release from the Continental Club Master Accra Hearts of Oak, it reads,
“The Management of Accra Hearts of Oak, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, on Sunday, 20th February 2022 effected the arrest of a man at the Accra Sports Stadium who was selling fake match tickets for the Super Clash between Hearts and Kotoko.
The police have interrogated the suspect and are continuing with investigations to arrest and prosecute all those involved in what is suspected to be a syndicate.
We take this opportunity to appeal to the general public, especially those with similar intentions, to desist from getting involved in such fraudulent activities, or they should prepare to face the stiffest application of the law by the law enforcement agencies.

Kudos to the Ghana Police Service and the management team of Accra Hearts of Oak for ensuring the arrest did not end with the suspect but targeting the syndicates.
