FIFA is pleased to announce that the accreditation process for media representatives wishing to cover the Final Draw for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which will be conducted at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) on Friday, 1 April 2022, at 19:00 (local time), has been launched via the FIFA Media Hub. The deadline for accreditation applications is 15 March 2022.
The DECC will also be the venue for the 72nd FIFA Congress on 31 March 2022, one day before the Final Draw. Accreditation for the FIFA Congress will also be valid for various meetings taking place around the actual Congress; however, please note that Supplementary Access Devices (SADs) may be needed in some cases.
A media centre will be installed at the DECC, and will be open from 30 March to 1 April.
Media opportunities are planned as of 30 March, with more details to follow in due course. The Final Draw event on Friday, 1 April will be followed by a mixed zone. More information, including a schedule of events with media activities, will be published on the FIFA Media Hub in due course.
Please note that approval to access the FIFA Media Hub does not mean you have been granted accreditation. Media accreditation for any FIFA event requires the completion of an accreditation form that can be accessed from the FIFA Media Hub.
All applications are subject to confirmation, and will not be on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information in due course.
In order to facilitate the coverage of the FIFA Congress and media events during the days preceding the draw, applications via the FIFA Media Hub are also accepted from non-rights holders (NRHs, media entities that have not acquired the rights for the broadcast coverage of the Final Draw).

Please note that on the day of the draw, non-rights holders will have access to the media centre, subject to space availability, but will not be able to bring any recording/audiovisual equipment into the venue and will not have access to any activities taking place on site (including the actual draw ceremony and the mixed zone).
There is a separate accreditation process for FIFA Media Rights Licensees (MRLs) that is serviced by the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing team. A specific MRL link for the online accreditation registration will be made available to the MRLs by the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing team.
72nd FIFA Congress
FIFA will produce a world feed for the Congress and provide services for broadcasters wishing to attend. Interested broadcasters should contact [email protected] for further information.
All services offered on-site are subject to booking, space availability and final confirmation. Broadcasters can request access to services by completing a booking form, which will be provided by FIFA to interested parties.
Media accommodation
FIFA has secured a number of rooms with specific rates in a well-located hotel (within walking distance of the Congress/draw location) for approved media. The booking procedure will be shared with the accreditation approval letter.
Important visa and COVID-19 information for entry to Qatar
Media accreditation does not guarantee entry to Qatar. The visa process can only be started once you have received your accreditation approval letter. Full instructions on the visa application process will be provided with the accreditation approval letter.
The Qatari authorities will provide further details on visa procedures and COVID-19-related health measures for accredited media representatives.
Media accreditation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022
Media accreditation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is expected to open via the FIFA Media Hub in April or May 2022.
As is customary, all of FIFA’s member associations will receive a quota of written press and photographer accreditations for distribution to their national media organizations and representatives.
Media organizations and representatives should contact their football association in late March to enquire about accreditation procedures for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Accreditation for non-rights-holding broadcasters will begin later via the FIFA Media Hub.
