ASFAR celebrated their tenth Moroccan Women’s Championship title by a landslide with 76 points from 26 matches for the 2021-22 season.
With 25 wins and a draw, unbeaten ASFAR clinched their ninth consecutive crown in style, having garnered a huge 13 points advantage over their closest challengers AMFFL with 63 points.
Impressed by the feat, head coach Mohamed Amin Aliwa, who replaced former tactician Abdallah Haidamou last December, is lost for words following his remarkable debut season in charge.

“It’s a great pleasure to lead this team but at the same time, we feel very much the immense responsibility of bringing added value,” Amin Aliwa told CAFOnline.com.
“I have been part of the ASFAR entity for more than 13 years, and like most coaches, I started with the football school, my recent experience with the men’s football was with the reserve team of ASFAR.
“For the women’s team, the management entrusted me with the responsibility alongside my assistant Fatiha Laasiri in December 2021.”
The latest title win swells ASFAR’s cabinet to 18 major domestic silverware, including seven Throne Cups and Amine Aliouia opened up on the secret behind their domestic successes.
“There is no big secret behind our domestic dominance besides our management who have invested so much in the women’s football project, and who have offered the right conditions to succeed,” the Moroccan coach continued.
“Quality and high calibre players, with most of them constituting the framework of the national team and a good modern strategy of work which corresponds to international best practices.
“Winning the title of champion was one of our goals to achieve even if we had some difficulties at the start with the tight schedules and unavailability of top players (due to injuries).
“But thanks to God and to the girls who were up to it, we were able to overcome all that and I think we fully deserved the Women’s Cup and Championship double.”
The North African champions shone at the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt last November when they defeated Equatorial Guinea’s Malabo Kings to clinch bronze.
The Royal Army side are en route to their ninth Moroccan Throne Cup, having reached the quarterfinal following a 6-0 thrashing of ASDCT on Tuesday.
At club level, in a few days, we will play in the Throne Cup to conquer in the competition, also there is the WAFCON in July and of course, our primary objective is an honourable representation of our prestigious club and Morocco in the next edition of the Champions League.

And the tactician is confident in his side and the country’s quest to go all the way to record more national and continental titles, including the upcoming TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.
“At club level, in a few days, we will play in the Throne Cup to conquer in the competition, also there is the WAFCON in July and of course, our primary objective is an honourable representation of our prestigious club and Morocco in the next edition of the Champions League,” he disclosed.
“Despite Morocco not winning in the last edition of WCL, the team left good marks at the continental level. For us, this year, we will make tireless efforts to progress well during this edition and also aim to become the champion.”
On individual feats, ASFAR’s Ibtissam Jraidi clinched her fourth golden boot in the Moroccan topflight with 32 goals, piping Enekia Lunyamila of AUSFAZ and Diarra Agueissa of AMLFF with 27 and 21 respectively to the accolade.
