Sammy Heywood Okine has been appointed to serve on the African Sports Ventures Group (ASVG) Committee on the selection of the African Athlete of the month.
Sammy Heywood Okine has for many years been the African Sports Media Network Country Director for Ghana.
Texas based Mr. Leslie Koromo, Director of ASVG revealed the new appointment over the weekend.
He lables Mr. Okine as Africa’s Most Hardworking Sports Journalist.
Mr. Okine was former Deputy Secretary General of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and currently Deputy Communications Director of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
He is Managing Editor of Asaaseaban,com and Editorial Consultant of Ultimatesportsghana.com.
He also serves as Associate Editor of BoxinGhana and Presenter / Host of The Big Fight Night on Omashi TV.
He is a top Correspondent for GhanaWeb, NewsGhana, ModernGhana, GhanaNewsOnline, AmaGhanaOnline, Total Sports, AccraLive etc.
Mr. Okine is the founder of Boxing Writers Association of Ghana (BWAG) and the Communications Director PRO of the Breaking Federation and Kick Boxing Federations of Ghana.
He was the Press Attache of Team Ghana at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
