Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex 1996 and MTN FA Cup holders Nsoatreman FC will know its opponents for the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2024-25 and the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2024-25 in Thursday’s draw at the Headquarters of CAF in Cairo.
The two Ghanaian clubs will play in the 1st preliminary round stage of both the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup following their heroics in the domestic campaign last season.
FC Samartex are Ghana’s representative in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League after annexing the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League title while Nsoatreman will make their bow in the preliminary stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup after clinching the 2023-24 MTN FA Cup.
The draw of the Preliminary Stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup officially marks the start of what promises to be another exciting season of premium African club football.
For the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, a total of 59 clubs will be engaged from 47 African countries, while the CAF Confederation Cup will also have 52 clubs representing 41 countries.
