The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, will pay a one-day working visit to the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) on Thursday August 15, 2024.
The President will hold a meeting with the new leadership of WRFA at the BoyBoison Elite Hotel at 10am.
The visit by President Simeon-Okraku will afford him the opportunity to meet and interact with the newly elected members of the Western RFA Executive Council, and for him to get a basic understanding of the region’s plans for the years ahead. Mr. Simon Ehumah, Chairman of the Western RFA, is also expected to update the GFA President on strategic initiatives implemented in the region.
The meeting will also discuss issues relating to Colts Football, Catch Them Young Referees policy, youth focus, the development of a clear progressive pathway for female players and monthly subvention for the region, amongst others.
President Simeon-Okraku has already visited the Ashanti, Central, Greater Accra and Brong Ahafo RFAs and his interactions with these RFAs was very fruitful leading to sharpened focus on the pursuit of set objectives for the regions.
The GFA President will be visiting remaining Football regions of Ghana in due course to hold similar engagements in continuing efforts to strengthen Grassroots Football in all regions of the country.
