The 30th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) commences today August 26, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram.

The event marks a significant gathering of football stakeholders across the nation, with delegates expected to arrive at the venue by 12:00 noon.

The Congress will feature a variety of activities aimed at furthering football development in Ghana. Delegates will participate in group meetings focused on different thematic areas crucial to the growth and progress of the sport in the country.

In a notable development, the President of the GFA Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku is scheduled to cut the sod for the construction of a new gym and swimming pool at the Soccer Center of Excellence.

As part of the day’s events, the Executive Council will engage in a friendly football match against the Regional Football Association (RFA) Chairmen. Additionally, Premier League club administrators will face off against Division One League club administrators in another friendly match scheduled for tonight.

The two-day Congress is expected to address key issues within the Ghanaian football landscape, setting the stage for continued progress and development in the sport.
