The much talked about bill dubbed ‘Golden Hands’ under the promotion of Swavy Blu in collaboration with Legacy and Shiatse Promotions has been fixed for September 14, 2024 at the same venue.
Ghana’s Daniel Gorsh, the UBO Africa and LBO Super Bantamweight Champion has promised to add the WBO Africa Bantamweight belt to his collection when he faces Benin’s Vodounhessi on September 14 at the Tree House Restaurant at Labone in Accra.
Ghislain Vodounhessi, 39 last lost to Wasiru “Gyata Bi” Mohammed on 31st January2020 at the Bukom Boxing Arena, which was his only knockout defeat, and has vowed to revenge.
In an exclusive interview Daniel Selasie Gorsh (12-0, 9KOs), popularly called the Emperor said he wants to become Ghana’s next world champion and he is world very hard towards that ambition. He called on political leaders to come and watch the fight and use it to preach peace and unity as Ghana goes into elections.
The Cotonou-born pugilist with a record of 27 professional fights has tasted just one defeat to Wasiru Mohammed, another Ghanaian.
His next fight against Daniel Gorsh, 24 is going to be his second fight against an opponent who’s never tasted defeat.
Vodounhessi has been training at the Jamestown Gym under Coach Randy Amugi and is also eager to win for himself and his country and will certainly come as a tough opponent.
He already knows the terrain in Ghana so he will not be intimidated by the fans or the venue.
He will certainly give off his best so boxing fans are going to see an exciting bout.
Matchmaker Augustus Dodoo aka Onelife says other budding classic boxers are on the bill will is dubbed ‘Golden Hand’.
He expressed that the residents of Labone and surrounding communities also deserve to see some good live boxing action, so they are bringing the game to the people.
