Bboy Nagi also known as Yussif Adam was declared champion and representive of Ghana at the two day 2024 edition of the Afro Break Ghana National Championship when he battled the defending champion Bboy Blesso in an entertaining event held at Usher Fort near Jamestown in Accra
The show put up by Afro Breaking Academy in collaboration with the Breaking Federation of Ghana and the French Embassy attracted a large crowd and founder Bboy Lyrixs described it as very successful.
Bboy Blesso the 2023 winner defeated Bboy Kofi Black while Bboy Nagi beat Bboy Eyez at the Semi Finals.
Bgirl Iyani won over Bgirl Vikz in the female category.
In the All star..Team contest, Hubes from Korle Gonno put up a spectacular performance to beat One Ghana from Kotobabi in a keenly contested battle.
On the first, 9 years Bboy Emma thrilled spectators with his amazing skills.but lost the first position to 17 year old senior, while Bgirl Ivix won in the new entrants category.
There were performances by various groups and renowned dancers.
Bboy Lyrixs also called Nana Tufour Okai told the media it had not been easy going to the grassroots to unearth and groom the talents.
He said the Academy is always producing new ideas, concepts and dancers.
He noted that the Breaking Federation which he presides is focused on participating in the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal, after losing the opportunity to represent Ghana at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games through a wild card.
