Hon. Alhaji Abdul Manaf Sowah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) aspiring Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo Constituency on Wednesday, October 2nd distributed bags of maize to kenkey and koko sellers at Korle Wonko in Accra.
Addressing the large gathering who came to witness or collect their packages, he said politics to all about making the people feel good in development and progress.
He noted that the ruling NPP government has started many initiatives and social interventions which must not be let to go waste with a change of government, but rather they must work hard to change the Member of Parliament.
He named a number of projects going on like the Sempe School, Salaga Market and Bukom Astro Turf which is under construction and the James Town Fishing Harbour which has been completed.
“When I am giving the mandate, many lives will change because when we the NPP are sharing, we don’t look at faces, but allow everyone to benefit and enjoy” he said.
“This is not the first time we are doing this, and it will not be the last because others must also benefit” he added.
350 supporters were given the maize, and the aspiring MP promised that 500 more people including tailors, hairdressers, idomie, rice sellers and others will all get their share.
Present at the programme were party coordinators, secretaries and organisers.
