The Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana (SWAG) in its mandate as the only recognized National Sports Writers’ Association in Ghana have awarded well deserving sports men and women in their various fields of work.
At the 46th edition of the MTN SWAG AWARDS, Mohammed Kudus of Ajax Amsterdam was nominated alongside Daniel Amartey of Leicester City in the category of ‘Footballer of the year (foreign).
After all votes cast, Mohammed Kudus was adjudged winning and has expressed his gratitude to SWAG for the honour in a post which reads,
“To the Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana, SWAG, thank for this prestigious award.
With many outstanding performances from my collegues across the globe. I’m humbled to be adjudged the Foreign Footballer of the year 21.
To all awardees and nominees as well as teammates, we share this together as winners.
