Running back Kenneth Walker walked away from Super Bowl LX with not one but two titles as the fourth year player won the title with the Seattle Seahawks and ended up winning the Most Valuable Player Award from the game.

By running for 135 yards in Seattle’s 29-13 win over the New England Patriots, 25 year old Walker became the first running back since 1997 to be named Super Bowl MVP.

Walker had 94 yards at half time in a dominant display as Seattle led 9-0 at half time en route to the big win for the franchise’s second super bowl win.

Speaking after the double win, Walker reflected on what it means for not just him but the running back position that has been devalued in recent years.

“It means a lot to me. I hope it shows the people that doubt running backs that running backs are important all around the league, not just here.”

“Running backs make a great impact. Back in the day, people used to love running backs. I just hope we get that same energy back sometime soon” Walker said.
