Ghanaian midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has made his long-awaited return to competitive football after more than three years out through injury, featuring for SC Freiburg II in a 4-1 win over Eintracht Trier.

The 28-year-old midfielder came off the bench to make his first competitive appearance in three years and three months. Despite limited minutes, Kyereh showed positive signs, providing an assist in an encouraging cameo display.

His return follows a prolonged period on the sidelines due to recurring injury setbacks that stalled his progress at both club and international level. Once a key figure for Ghana, his absence had been felt during major competitions and qualifiers.
