Italian-Ghanaian forward Kelvin Yeboah continued his rich run of form in the MLS after scoring the winner as Minnesota United defeated former champions LA Galaxy in California.
Yeboah finished off a move he started after a quick one-two with Tomas Chancalay, tapping in from close range.
The visitors opened the scoring in the second half through Anthony Markanich but the 2024 champions responded through Borussia Dortmund legend Marco Reus.
Yeboah then stole the winner ten minutes later to register his third goal in six MLS games.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian forward Joseph Paintsil was missing from the matchday squad for LA Galaxy due to an injury that also ruled him out of March’s international break.
Although Yeboah has represented Italy at youth level, the nephew of Ghana great Tony Yeboah remains eligible to play for the senior national team, the Black Stars.
