It is going to be a good fight when Derrick Quaye aka ‘Show Love’ faces Stanley Nyantekyi, the Ashanti Warrior in an anticipated boxing clash.
Many pundits have labeled it ‘Accra versus Kumasi boxing war in the ring’.
Although Ghana’s featherweight champion, Stanley Nyantakyi has accepted the challenge he wants them to meet at the Super Featherweight division as the undefeated super lightweight, Derrick Quaye has verbally exchanged jabs and agreed to fight.
The super clash will be at the Super Featherweight, but there is no promoter at the moment to put them on a bill.
With the status of both boxers, the pundits believe a promoter will come on board soon.
Both are crowd pullers and it will be a classic encounter.
“This is a fight the fans would like to see” said boxing writers Prince Dornu – Leiku of the Graphic Sports and Nii Otoe Von Cofie of Accra Live fame.
Stanley Nyantekyi is 10-1-0 while Derrick Quaye 23 is 6-0-1.
Many fans feel this will be the real test for Nyantekyi who has fought not too famous and best boxers. Derrick Quaye who stopped veteran Michael Ansah aka One Bullet has won many supporters and the bout will be another sellout.
