Lawyer for Thomas Partey, Jenny Wiltshire, says the former Arsenal midfielder ;  now with Spanish side Villarreal and vice captain of Ghana’s Black Stars  denies the two additional rape counts levelled against him as of February 12, 2026.

The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2021 and 2022. At the time, Partey, now playing in La Liga, was a first-team regular at Arsenal. He was charged four days after leaving the Premier League club following the expiration of his contract at the end of June.

The 32-year-old is already due to stand trial in November after previously denying five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault relating to allegations made by three women.

Speaking on the matter, his lead counsel insisted the player maintains his innocence and will not be making further public comments.

Thomas Partey continues to deny all charges against him. He has cooperated with the police throughout. Given there are ongoing legal proceedings, there will be no further comment.

For now, Partey is expected to continue playing, as his bail conditions permit him to do so, while legal proceedings continue ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
