Ghana forward Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has applauded his Hamburger SV teammates after their 1-1 draw against Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
The 24-year-old scored the decisive goal as Hamburger shared the spoils with Augsburg at the Volksparkstadion on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
Konigsdorffer, who was part of Ghana’s team during the international break, admitted Hamburger started the game slowly but showed character in the second half to gain a point.
“We spurned a few chances in the first half, failing to both apply pressure and play with intensity. We were too slow in what we were trying to do,” he said.
“However, we didn’t let that get us down and did better in the second half, even despite the red card. We demonstrated good team spirit. We can say we fought hard for a point today and can be fairly satisfied on the whole,” added the striker.
Arthur Chaves had given Augsburg the lead in the first half before Konigsdorffer struck on the hour mark.
The German-born Ghanaian is enjoying a decent debut season in the Bundesliga, scoring 5 goals in 28 league games.
