The team bus of Ghana Premier League club Berekum Chelsea has just been attacked by armed robbers on its return from a Matchday 29
game against FC Samartex in Samreboi.
Sports indicate that the incident happened at Ahyiresu on the Bibiani-Goaso road.
The former champions had lost 1-0 to FC Samartex and were heading home to prepare for their next game against Medeama SC on Matchday 30.
Reports say there was a roadblock a few miles after the team went past Bibiani.
In an attempt to evade the roadblock, the driver started to reverse, witnesses told Onua Sports.
However, the attackers marched towards them while shooting, forcing some of the players to jump out into the nearby bushes.
