Pep Guardiola has commended the rapid integration of Antoine Semenyo following the forward’s January move to Manchester City from AFC Bournemouth.

The Ghana international has made an immediate impression at the Etihad Stadium, contributing eight goals in all competitions since his arrival, adding to the ten he recorded earlier in the season before completing his transfer.

Guardiola, speaking to TNT Sports, highlighted the attacker’s smooth transition and adaptability within the squad, pointing to his versatility across the frontline as a major asset.

“It’s really nice to live this experience for the first time, really pleased,” Guardiola said.

“Top! First day in the locker room, in that spirit, really good.

“He can play on both sides offensively, in the centre, scored a lot of goals in the FA Cup, in the Carabao Cup, in the Premier League, so really good,” he added.

Semenyo’s growing influence has seen him become a key option in City’s attacking rotation, offering flexibility in multiple positions while maintaining a consistent goal threat.

The 26-year-old was not involved in the club’s recent FA Cup semi-final win over Southampton at Wembley, having been given a breather, but is expected to return to contention for the upcoming league fixture against Everton.

With City entering a decisive phase of the season, Semenyo’s form could prove crucial as Guardiola’s side continues its push across multiple competitions.
