Nana Amponsah Adu-Gyamfi, Kyidomhene of Assin Achiase in the Assin South District has pledged full support for Mr. Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe to become the  next President of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA).

He said Ghana Boxing needs the best and the best person to lead now is Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe.

According to the traditional leader, he has followed boxing for a long time and he believes Ivan is the man.

He was with him at the presentations of documents to the Interim Management Committee who are conducting the Elections and Congress and was also at the recent Meet the Press encounter.

Nana Amponsah Adu-Gyamfi was chairman at the unveiling of the new logo of the Ghana Boxing Federation and he said Ghana needs a world boxing champion.

He expressed that it has been a while but he knows when Ivan comes things would be right right.

He supports the ideas of expanding boxing to the regions for worthy national champions and thinks Ghana Boxing needs  better discipline, accountability and transparency.

He also loves the league to come back with better organization and sponsors.

Nana Amponsh Adu-Gyamfi is also in favour of more Ghanaian boxers rated in world bodies and Ghana hosting bigger international bouts.

Also at the Press Conference to support Ivan Bruce-Cudjoe was veteran boxing consultant Mr. Yoofi Boham former manager of Ike Quartey and the late Alfred Kotey.

Boham was instrumental in the success of Isaac Dogboe, the Royal Storm who also became a world champion.

The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Congress and Elections has been fixed for June 4 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
