Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz believes the Black Stars are fully prepared to cope with the intensity of England ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Group L encounter at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Black Stars are set to take on the Three Lions on June 23 in their second group-stage match of the tournament, currently being hosted across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated clash, Queiroz admitted England possesses enormous quality and experience but insisted Ghana have developed a strategy to contain their threat.

“We know how England play. They have excellent players, they have the experience of their Premier League. They have intensity but we know how we can control this. We know they have three lions but we have 33 million lions,” the Ghana coach said.

The encounter between Ghana and England is scheduled to kick off at 20:00GMT at the Boston Stadium on Tuesday.

Both sides will head into the contest targeting victory as they seek to secure early qualification to the knockout stage before their final group matches.
