Azamati dominated Heat Five from the start, easing away from the field to claim a comfortable victory and underline his status as one of the favourites for the title. His time of 10.00 seconds was the quickest recorded across all the first-round heats, sending a strong message to his rivals ahead of the next stage of the competition.
The Ghanaian showcased his trademark acceleration and composure, crossing the finish line well ahead of his competitors, who were left battling for the remaining qualification places.
