Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah has admitted that recent results have significantly eased the pressure on him following the team’s resurgence in the Ghana Premier League.
Victories over Aduana FC and FC Samartex have injected new life into Bechem United’s campaign, lifting the club to 10th place on the league table and strengthening their chances of avoiding relegation.
Reflecting on the turnaround, Kobina Amissah expressed his relief and satisfaction with the team’s progress, particularly given the tension that comes with battling near the drop zone.
“I’m very happy because when you are close to the relegation zone, there is more pressure on you, and the pressure is too much for me to contain. So, this win has cushioned me. I’m happy with the away win,” he told Bechem United TV.
Despite the improved position, the coach remains focused on pushing the team further up the standings.
“In the next home game, we will back up our performance and get another win so that we come up,” Amissah added.
Bechem United will look to build on their recent form when they return home on Saturday, April 4, to face league leaders Medeama SC in their Week 28 fixture.
