German outfit Hamburger SV are struggling to reach an agreement to extend the contract of Ghana attacker Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer.
Negotiations over a contract extension have yet to yield a breakthrough, with the chances of renewal currently hanging in the balance.
According to sources, if the current situation does not change, the winger will leave the German Bundesliga club on a free transfer next summer.
With his deal set to expire in June, Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer is increasingly becoming an attractive option for clubs looking to secure a bargain signing.
Last summer, Königsdörffer’s future became uncertain when he came close to joining OGC Nice. The move, however, collapsed at the final stage after a failed medical.
After the failed move force the forward to stay at Hamburger SV, he continued to work hard and has established himself as a key man for the side in the 2025/26 German Bundesliga season.
He has featured in every competitive match this season, with his consistent performances significantly boosting both his market value.
While Hamburger SV are working hard to extend his deal, negotiations are not going according to plan.
If an agreement is not reached before the end of the season, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer could leave for free.
