The Ghana Football Association has stepped up preparations for the 2026/27 season with a one-day seminar for Match Commissioners ahead of the new campaign.
Held at the GFA headquarters on Wednesday, September 2, the session was led by General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo and focused on improving matchday operations, safety, security and competition administration.
Match Commissioners received updated guidance on their responsibilities, including the conduct of technical meetings, match reporting, Club Licensing and the effective use of the Competition Management System (CMS).
Deputy General Secretary and IT Director Francis Adu Essah led the CMS session, while Integrity Officer Obed Tuffuor delivered lessons on integrity. CAF Safety and Security Officer and Accra Hearts of Oak Managing Director Julius Ben Emunah addressed safety and security standards at league centres.
The emphasis throughout was on accuracy, accountability and consistency, particularly in match reports that inform disciplinary and competition decisions.
The seminar comes just days before the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League begins, with Vision FC hosting Young Apostles on Friday, September 5, in the opening fixture of the new campaign.
