Nations Football Club has been relegated to the Division One League after a difficult 2025/26 season in the Ghana Premier League.
Despite a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to Karela United on the final match day, Nations entered the day in the relegation zone on 44 points, and unfavourable results from other matches sealed their fate after three seasons in the top flight.
The club showed promise with strong home performances at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex but struggled with inconsistency on the road and costly late defeats, including a 1-0 home loss to Vision FC. Coach Frimpong Manso’s squad battled bravely but could not escape the bottom three.
In an official statement, Nations FC said: “This is a very painful moment for everyone connected to the club… We sincerely apologise to our fans, sponsors, partners, and supporters for falling short this season. We take full responsibility… But this is not the end of our story. We will regroup, fight, and work tirelessly to bring Nations FC back to where it belongs.”
The club will now gear up for a push towards promotion next season.
