Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi has confirmed his departure from Hearts of Oak ahead of his expected move to South African club Stellenbosch FC.

The 25-year-old leaves after failing to reach an agreement with Hearts during the transfer window, despite the club’s efforts to retain him.

Agbasi attracted interest from several clubs, including Ghanaian champions Medeama, but opted to continue his career in South Africa.

In a farewell message, he thanked the club, teammates and supporters for their backing during his time in the Phobia colours.

“To everyone at Accra Hearts of Oak. My time at the club has come to an end and I would like to thank everyone involved. The past year has flown by but they will stay with me forever.”

“I’ve loved every minute here and I will miss playing in the Phobia colours.”
