Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have set their sights on Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.
The Tarkwa-based club are eager to add the striker to their ranks following their domestic triumph, with the continental competition requiring depth and quality in attacking areas.
Amoah, who returned to Kotoko on loan from Libyan side Al-Ahly Benghazi in January, has been on Medeama’s radar as they seek to bolster their frontline.
The 24-year-old forward has previously shown his quality in the Ghana Premier League, and a move to the champions would offer him the opportunity to compete on the continental stage.
Medeama are preparing for their first CAF Champions League campaign since winning the league title, and adding experienced firepower is a priority.
Negotiations between the clubs are expected to develop in the coming days as Medeama push to secure the signature of the Kotoko attacker.
