Ghana’s Black Starlets have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo for the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament in the WAFU Zone B.

The competition, which also serves as the WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship, will determine the region’s representatives at next year’s continental tournament.
Kassim Ocansey Mingle’s side face a demanding group, with Burkina Faso providing particularly strong opposition alongside neighbours Benin and Togo.
The Black Starlets will need to navigate the group successfully to keep their hopes of returning to the continental stage alive, with every result likely to carry significant weight.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 10, 2026, in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
