The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has announced that the official draw for the final tournament of the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 will take place at the Complex Mohamed VI in Salé, Morocco, on Friday, 18 October 2024.
The event will be conducted at 12h00 noon local time (11h00 GMT) and will be live on CAF’s digital platforms and partner networks: CAF YouTube.
The final tournament will be held on 09-23 November 2024.
The fourth edition of the tournament will feature five debutants including Aigles de la Medina (Senegal), EDO Queens (Nigeria), University of the Western Cape (South Africa), Tutankhamun (Egypt), and CBE FC (Ethiopia).
They will join two-time winners Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), 2022 champions and hosts ASFAR (Morocco), as well as TP Mazembe (DR Congo) who are returning to the competition after missing the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire.
Adding a touch of history and inspiration to the event, former ASFAR player and current U-23 Morocco Women’s National Team, Fatiha Laasiri, will serve as the draw assistant. Laasiri, a trailblazer in Moroccan women’s football, is renowned for her contribution to the growth of the sport and continues to be a role model for aspiring female footballers across Africa.
